Maybe you’ll recognize yourself in my story.
Too many hours by the computer, working hard. For months, years, decades.
My work has been my true passion, but I went through several burnouts. Brain fog was following me everywhere. I was waking up in the morning more exhausted than in the evening.
I tried everything. Some things helped, like regular exercising, daily meditation, walking my dog, frequent use of tapping (EFT) or Body Code, healthy food and cutting down on screen time. I also slowed down in my work, but still…
Something important felt missing.
For most of my life I’ve been living in cities. And I felt disconnected from the Earth.
I also found out that I am highly sensitive to my environment. To chemicals, to some foods, to technology (electromagnetic fields around me, my phone and computer included), even to places and people. And especially to energies and emotions that I couldn’t put my finger on but that mixed freely with my own, making me feel terrible most of the day.
„Is there a solution to this?“ I’ve kept asking for a long time.
And yes, I’ve found it. In something I’ve been loving to do my whole life:
Walking the land.
Thankfully, I have a very active border collie called Žofka.
So we started to walk the land together. One sniffing in the undergrowth, the other hugging trees, touching every rock on the way and both enjoying the cold clear water of creeks and rivers.
Soon I noticed things I didn’t expect:
My EMF sensitivity got much more bearable.
My chronic health issues just disappeared.
I realized brain fog hadn’t visited me for months. Same for headaches.
My period got lighter, with no cramps whatsoever.
My nervous system calmed down, from a chronically stressed state into one of peace and joy.
My intuition has grown since then, and so has my claircognizance.
Messages from my soul became crystal clear.
I began to talk with the trees, rocks, elves, dwarves, fairies.
And I started to heal the land.
My journeys brought me many realizations.
I began to see clearly how the chaotic and overwhelming modern world impacts our nervous systems, our bodies and our well-being.
We process as much data in one day as people processed in their whole life during the medieval times.
The constant background noise of modern life negatively impacts our nervous system, tricking it into believing we are in constant danger.
And above all, we live in an ever-thickening goulash of electromagnetic fields of every kind: from omnipresent electricity to radio and TV signals, LED lighting, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5G, or even X-rays, you name it.
Though we cannot see the radiation with our eyes, it affects our nervous system and our cells.
And if you are an empath like me, living in densely populated areas can feel overwhelming as you absorb the energies of places and the people around you, whether you live with them, work with them, or simply pass by on the street.
For many sensitive people, this can lead to anxiety, fear, panic, depression, burnout, chronic health issues, loss of motivation and passion, or a sense of disconnection from their soul. But there’s a way out.
Even for you!
If something in you is quietly saying yes,
you don’t need to have it all figured out.
I am a person who loves to share.
I love to share what I’ve learned, what works for me, what makes my life better, what makes the world a better place for everyone.
And that’s how the Geomantic Journeys came to life.
Geomantic Journeys are not hikes. They are not wellness retreats.
They are a guided experience of moving through landscapes that carry their own intelligence.
We move through places that hold a certain energy: historic sites, natural formations, springs, forests, or even city centers. We learn to sense the energy of each place – not through theory, but through direct physical experience.
Why do I feel tension here? Why does my body feel energized here, yet heavy there? Why do I sense calm and clarity under this tree?
There, you’ll finally realize that what you have always felt is real.
You’ll know for sure that you can trust your intuition. And that your nervous system has never been wrong – it’s just kept informing you that you are in a wrong place!
You’ll learn which places to seek more often and which to avoid. And you’ll get a reliable compass that will help you navigate all the overwhelming goulash of modern civilization.
I am also very rational, logical, and analytical. I love to take „woo-woo“ stuff and make it understandable and applicable for everyone.
Over the years, I’ve done it with women’s cycles, tapping, Joe Dispenza’s work, EMF, hypersensitivity, geomancy, or the science of how places physically affect our nervous system. I’ve been a biohacker for years.
So yes, I can channel the guardian of the Dolomite Mountains, an octopus, or a tree, but at the same time I can explain in simple neurobiology terms how walks in nature can help any part of our body, mind and life.
It’s not separate. It’s just about the lens filter you put on.
On a Geomantic Journey, we can explore all of this together. We talk about what you feel, why your body or nervous system reacts in certain ways, and what your soul truly needs. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your body, and your intuition.
And you’ll get tools to recognize what nourishes you, restores you, and brings your energy and your nervous system into balance.
This is what a Geomantic Journey can bring you:
Your cortisol levels drop and your body finally steps out of chronic fight-or-flight.
Your system starts to remember again what it feels like to be fully safe.
Your health issues begin to stabilize or even disappear.
Your mind clears and brain fog lifts.
Your energy rises and your nervous system allows you to enjoy life again.
Your ability to sense the energies around you grows.
Your intuition and connection with your soul deepens.
Your relationship with the natural world opens in unexpected ways.
Your clair- abilities emerge – and much more!
Tempted to come and experience it yourself?
Here are a few practical details:
We start in České Budějovice (Budweis), a beautiful town in South Bohemia, Czech Republic, where I currently live.
The surrounding landscape is full of hills and mountains, old forests, sacred springs, magical waterfalls, ancient rivers, medieval ponds, modern lakes, incredible rock formations, and fascinating historic sites, including two famous UNESCO locations.
Journeys typically last from one to five days, based on your wishes and what you’re looking for.
I also choose locations we visit based on your preferences. There are plenty!
At the moment I take one or two clients at a time – intentionally, so that you have my full attention.
I can arrange accommodation depending on your requirements, and we sort out meals together based on what works for you. Gluten-free, vegan, and other dietary needs are no problem.
We walk around 10 to 15 kilometres per day, with elevation gain ranging from 300 to 600 metres depending on the terrain. We move at a good pace and often leave the trodden path behind – because that’s usually where the most interesting places are.
The programme is not 100% fixed. It responds to you, to the land, and to what shows up. Flexibility and a bit of improv are part of it.
Bring solid hiking shoes and clothing suitable for the weather, waterproof if possible. Rain, wind and mud are not a reason to stay home.
On the walks, we are accompanied by my dog Žofka – an unusually large and independent border collie who roams freely and has her own clear opinions about places and their energy. She loves people and other dogs, so feel free to bring yours along.
Prices start at CZK 15,000 (approx. USD 700) per person for a one-day journey. For couples or pairs travelling together, the price is CZK 25,000 for two. Multi-day journeys are priced individually. A deposit of 50% confirms your place.
This is not a hike, but a guided, highly personalised experience. You are not just paying for time – but for presence, depth, and the ability to truly see, feel, and understand what is happening within you and around you.
The next step is simple:
and we can put the journey details together.
The Geomantic Journey is for you if…
You feel overwhelmed by modern life and desperate for something that’d really help.
You are sensitive to your environment, people, or energies and need to understand why, not just cope with it.
You want to reconnect with your body and intuition but keep your logical, analytical thinking.
You know there is more to life and you’re ready to experience it directly.
You enjoy walking in nature and are physically able to spend several hours outdoors (10–15 km per day in any weather).
You are willing to learn – about the land, history, and yourself.
The Journey is NOT for you if…
You are looking for a comfortable, passive retreat or “wellness experience”.
You are not okay walking, being outside in any weather or steping off the trodden path.
You expect quick fixes instead of real, embodied experience.
You are afraid of dogs.
About me
My name is Dana-Sofie Šlancarová. I was born in the beautiful wine-growing region of South Moravia during the communist era. Fortunately, the Velvet Revolution came soon enough for me to major in English, and later I became a translator and publisher.
I have always been very sensitive. This part of my soul’s design has been a real challenge at times, but it also helped me work through my extremely painful menstruation and find the true meaning of our female cycles. Thanks to these challenging experiences, I was able to help hundreds of thousands of women in the Czech Republic and Slovakia through my Cyklická žena® project, and cyclic articles, lectures, and books. (By the way, my journeys started over 10 years ago as “cyclic pilgrimages”.)
But my sensitivity kept growing. Beyond hormones and cycle phases – into energies, emotions, and especially EMFs (electromagnetic fields). And so did my curiosity. I found tools and habits that help me feel and live well as an extremely sensitive person in today’s chaotic world.
Now I help people who feel the same. People who feel stuck because of subconscious blocks and yearn to move forward. Who struggle to hear their soul clearly, but deeply wish to. Who know there is more to life than what the eyes can see.
I do transformative sessions working with energy at a root level – so people can finally connect to their soul’s design and become truly themselves.
And I love taking people into the incredibly beautiful and magical landscape of the Czech Republic, especially South Bohemia. Into ancient forests, old ruins, and forgotten places that carry their own intelligence – and where the land works miracles within our bodies, nervous systems, and minds.
What my clients say…
Hi Sofi, once again, thank you so much for everything! I’m sitting on the train now, sipping spring water and thinking about how to put my feelings into words – what I would say to people who might want to experience something similar.
Some experiences are very hard to describe with words. I almost wonder if it really happened. It was like a beautiful kind of sci-fi.
Anyway, here I go: My biggest dream of this year has already come true. Yes, at the beginning of February. To meet Sofi in person, to go out into nature with her and see how she works with energies.
We spent two evenings and a whole day together. She took me to places she loves, places with strong energy and their own magic. Places where nature wraps you in its arms, where you completely forget about the outside world, where your soul feels at home, and your nervous system can truly rest and regenerate. She showed me her favourite spots where she goes with Žofka to heal trees and the landscape, but also places with completely different, nearly „negative“ energy – for comparison.
Honestly, it was mind-blowing. It was amazing. Beautiful. A powerful experience. Very hard to describe in words. You simply have to experience it.
She helped me understand what I was feeling and why, and why it was happening in certain places; and accept that my emerging clairvoyant abilities doesn’t mean that I’m going crazy. We walked more than ten kilometres that day, and it was absolutely worth it.
Sofi had planned in advance where we would go, so for me it felt like a perfectly organised guided trip, including explanations – I would say tailor-made just for me.
And the first evening even came with a surprise!
But Sofi is not only a wonderful guide – she is also a great host and caretaker. Like a mum.
I truly recommend joining Sofi on her geomantic journeys! Whether you’re a beginner like me, just starting to discover the “world of your soul”, or you’re already familiar with all those “spiritual” concepts – either way, there will be things you hear for the first time.
Sofi, thank you once again so much! And if there’s ever another opportunity… this country isn’t big enough to stop me from coming again.
With respect and an open heart, Magda
If you read this far, something in you already knows.
Let’s meet and listen to it together.
Your questions answered
Do I need any previous experience with energy work or geomancy?
Not at all. The only thing you need is curiosity and a willingness to observe and reflect. Your body already knows how to sense places – we’re just going to help you remember that. It’s definitely beginner friendly and actually more about your nervous system regulation than complex geomantic rituals. I do not fancy those, I love very simple things.
I’m not very fit. Can I still come?
We walk around 10–15 km a day with 300–600 m of elevation gain, often off the main path. This is not a gentle stroll. If you haven’t moved your body regularly in a while, the geomantic journey is probably not the right starting point. On the other hand, it isn’t a hiking race either, we stop, listen, observe and enjoy.
What exactly happens on the journey? Is there a fixed program?
Not entirely. I plan the route(s) in advance based on your preferences, but the program is flexible. We respond to what shows up — in you, in the land, in the places we visit. And yes, sometimes we leave the trodden path to discover the most unique places.
I’m quite rational and sceptical. Is this for me?
Yes. 🙂 I am quite rational too. Actually, I feel myself as a bridge between the visible and the unseen, between matter and energy. I love to explain the „woo-woo“ stuff in neurobiological terms if that’s what you need. But nothing beats experiencing it yourself — your body will tell you more than words ever could. Often, people realise they have been feeling it all along but they just didn’t know how to recognize or trust it.
Will I be the only participant?
If you apply as a single participant, yes – you will have the journey all to yourself. At the moment, I intentionally take only one or two people (a couple or friends) at a time. This is not a group retreat and you have my full attention throughout the whole experience.
What about accommodation and food?
I can arrange both accommodation and meals based on your needs and preferences. Gluten-free, vegan, and other requirements are no problem. We sort the details out together before you arrive.
I have a dog. Can I bring them?
Yes! As long as your dog is comfortable with long walks, varied terrain, and the company of Žofka — my unusually big but friendly border collie who loves dogs and people. Dogs are our companions not just on the journey through the land, but through life itself.
What about the weather?
We go in almost any weather – unless conditions are truly extreme. Rain, wind, snow, or mud often enhance the experience and bring a different, magical quality to the journey. Just make sure to bring sturdy hiking shoes and waterproof clothing.
How do I know if this is right for me?
Book the free 20-minute call and we’ll find out together. We’ll discuss what I offer, your ideas and wishes, and what you’re curious about — and see if it’s a good fit. I won’t push you into something that isn’t right for you — and if it’s not, I’ll tell you honestly.
Have you known that:
Trees can co-regulate our nervous systems in a way that’s just as powerful as human connection? No kidding! The Japanese call it shinrin-yoku, which means forest bathing.
Forest bathing helps lower cortisol levels, slow the heart rate, and switch on the parasympathetic nervous system. When this happens, the body can begin to heal on its own.
When your nervous system is no longer in a state of stress, your prefrontal cortex can fully come online, bringing you ideas you haven’t had in years.
A coherent human nervous system can create a measurable shift in the energetic field of a place. You are not just a visitor, you’re its healer.
And the message spreads further. Science shows that trees and plants communicate with one another through underground networks of roots and fungi, exchanging nutrients, warnings, and information.
Human-made noise affects nature. Chronic low-frequency sound from roads and cities disrupt this underground communication. Not to mention electromagnetic smog: plants, too, have their own electromagnetic fields that are being impacted.
We will explore all of this on our journey – and much more.
We are all part of one whole and we are meant to support each other.
What my clients say…
I went on the journey at a point in my life when I was searching for what to do next regarding my purpose and a new professional calling. And it truly worked! I found my answers and stepped into a whole new direction that brings me joy and fulfillment. (Soňa B.)
Thank you for a truly meaningful day, filled with feminine energy, a touch of mystery, and a nourishing journey through the beautiful nature of the Blanský les. The pilgrimage opened up new horizons for me, helped me find clarity in the topic of female cyclicity, and made my next steps toward my dream vision much clearer. (Slávka Frančíková, marmeladazposumavi.cz)
What did the cyclic pilgrimage mean to me? It was a space to restore my energy, reconnect with myself, and gain a deeper perspective on my path – to sense whether I’m still on it and where it wants to lead me next. But most of all, it was a profound feeling of being supported by a kindred soul. Thank you! (Olga M.)
The cyclic pilgrimage with Dana-Sofi had been calling me for a long time. But since my little daughter Klárka and I are still so deeply connected, I couldn’t imagine leaving her behind for several hours. So when the opportunity came to experience the journey together with her, I felt truly excited.
We had never done a hike like this before, so I had my doubts — but she did amazingly well. She walked, explored the forest, and joyfully connected with “aunties” and the dogs who joined us. When she needed rest, I carried her in a sling, which worked perfectly.
For us adults, the journey unfolded in a beautiful atmosphere of laughter, rediscovering the world through the pure eyes of the youngest among us, and gently opening hidden inner chambers — all held within a safe field of feminine sharing and support.
Thank you, Sofi, for making it possible for us to come together. I truly hope it wasn’t the last time. (Eva Jakešová) jv yldkrz (Klárka Jakešová
